, que abriu suas portas ontem nesta capital.
Entre as conferências magistrais de hoje destaca-se a dedicada aos direitos do adulto maior, a cargo do Doutor Alberto Fernández, vice-presidente do Comitê Organizador do evento.
Também se debaterá nesta quarta-feira no Palácio de Convenções saúde mental e envelhecimento ativo, indicadores de qualidade nos serviços geriátricos, e a velhice nos meios de comunicação, entre outros tópicos.
Por sua vez, a vice-presidente do Instituto cubano de Esportes, Educação Física e Recreação (Inder), Gladys Bécquer, dará sua conferência magistral “A atividade física como fonte de saúde”.
Sob o lema “Que fazer para conseguir viver 120 anos e mais, com uma longevidade ativa e satisfatória”, o XIII Seminário Internacional de Longevidade reunirá especialistas de países como República Dominicana, Peru e Equador.
De forma paralela a esse encontro, que se estenderá até a próxima quinta-feira, também se darão o IX Encontro Internacional de Enfermaria, o II simpósio de Saúde Bucal na Longevidade e o X Encontro de Centenários.

Cuba and UK Reach Important Agreements During Business Forum
Agreements worth 400 million dollars was the result of the three-day business forum carried out by 30 British companies and their Cuban counterpart, which concluded yesterday in Havana.
The agreements include the construction of a new golf course, investments in agriculture and energy projects, said John Hutton, co-president of the Initiative Cuba, a British-Cuban project that promotes bilateral Exchange.
Hutton stressed the usefulness of the talks between businessmen and several Cuban ministers as he voiced his respect for the national legislation on foreign investment.
At the opening of the business event on the 28th, and before Cuban Foreign Investment Minister and co-president of the Initiative Rodrigo Malmierca, the British businessman said bilateral ties are now in a special moment.
He added that the UK trade delegation is the largest has ever visited Cuba.
The ministerial minister included interventions by Foreign Ministry (MINCEX) specialist for Europe, Pedro Luis Padrón, MINCEX specialist for foreign investment Déborah Rivas and University of Havana professors Juan Triana and Omar Everleny.
